Rachel & Keith | A Storybook Love in the Woods

Some sessions feel less like photographs and more like stepping into the pages of an old story book. Rachel and Keith’s Engagement Session was exactly that.

Surrounded by towering trees, fallen logs, rocky creek beds, and the first hints of autumn, these two brought a little bit of old-world romance into the woods. From Rachel’s flowing white dress and wild bouquet to Keith’s suspenders and the vintage books they brought along, every detail felt like it belonged in another time.

But what made this session so beautiful wasn’t just the setting- it was them.

A Love Story Among the Trees

There was something incredibly sweet about the way Rachel and Keith interacted with each other. The little glances across the woods, the way they reached for one another, the quiet smiles between poses, those in-between moments ended up being some of my favorites.

We climbed over rocks, wandered along the creek, balanced on fallen trees, and leaned fully into the moody, romantic vision for their photos. And these two were down for all of it.

I will forever love couples who trust me enough to get a little adventurous and create something that feels different.

The Little Details

One of my favorite parts of storytelling through photography is capturing the details that might otherwise be forgotten.

The bouquet resting beside a stack of vintage books, The ring catching just a sliver of light. Two hands reaching towards one another. The movement of Rachel’s dress against the dark greens and browns of the forest.

They’re small pieces of the day, but together they help tell the whole story.

There’s a softness to these photographs that I absolutely adore. Romantic without feeling overly posed, dark and dreamy without losing the warmth between them.

Rachel & Keith

This session felt like a love story found tucked between the pages of an old book. Quiet, a little wild, beautifully nostalgic, and touched with just enough magic.

Rachel and Keith, thank you for trusting me with your vision and for wandering through the woods with me to create something that felt so completely you. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

Here’s to photographs that feel like memories, love stories that feel timeless, and a little bit of magic hidden in the ordinary.
